Submitting Contract
* Prior to submitting your contract, it is very important that you contact Kim B. Clark at the Party Palace for availability of reservation dates and times to avoid scheduling conflicts.
How many girls can attend a Tea Party?
* Packages are for groups of 6 (at $250 plus tax)or 8 (at $275 plus tax). By special request, for Groups of 10 ,$350. GROUP NUMBER INCLUDES the guest of honor.
How do I reserve a Tea Time at Party Palace?
* Tea Times may be reserved by completing a Party Palace contract and paying the $75 NON-REFUNDABLE reservation fee. Contracts may be picked up at Party Palace or printed online.
When are the Tea Times?
Tea Times are as follows:
Friday Evenings - 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM
Saturdays - 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM, 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM, 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM.
Sundays - Flexible
Summer Hours will provide Tea Times during the week beginning at 10:30 AM. .
Where is Party Palace?
* Party Palace is in Riverviews Artspace at 901 Jefferson Street in Lynchburg, VA. Party Palace is on the first floor in suite #108 at the end of the hall. It is across from Amazement Square in Lynchburg's Historic District. The six-story building is the renovated historic Craddock-Terry Shoe building. Riverviews Artspace is a community of art-related galleries, studios, classrooms, and shops. Floors 3-6 are residential.
Where do I park when I visit Party Palace?
* Parking in the Historic District is limited. Parking for Riverviews and Party Palace is street-side on Jefferson Street and on 9th street. There is parking also below Amazement Square near Depot Grille. This is a very short walk to Riverviews. Car pooling is recommended.
What do I need to bring to a Tea at Party Palace?
* NOTHING! Party Palace provides everything to make your child's Tea a cherished memory. We do all of the work so you don't have to!
Can parents come and watch the Tea?
* Parents and grandparents of the Guest of Honor are always welcome at Teas. Other guests may bring one parent per child. We love an audience! It is required that at least one mother stay in the dressing area until all quests are in gowns. Please do not bring other visitors without approval, as seating is limited. It is recommended that siblings under 4 not attend.
Can I take my own pictures at the Tea?
* Parents may photograph provided it does not interfere with the schedule of events and that it is done discretely. ABSOLUTELY NO photographing in the dressing area. Every moment is scheduled, so please do not ask to photograph before or after your event. Teas are 30 minutes apart which does not allow time before or after your reservation. Guests must be out of gowns and on their way at the reservation time.
*Video/DVD recording is allowed at the present time. Again, please be discrete and prompt, and ABSOLUTELY NO Video/DVD filming in the dressing area. I will provide opportunities for you to photograph.
Can I come early to pick out my child's gown?
* Guests of Honor (hosting the Tea) have first choice of formal wear and accessories, so early arrival is not necessary. All guests should arrive at the reservation time. If guests arrive early, they may wait in the Community Room next to Party Palace until reservation time. Guests of Honor may choose their formal wear when signing contracts as well. Other guests will have ample time to choose their costumes.
How will you be able to fit everyone in formal wear?
* Dresses have been altered to fit several sizes. There will be a dress to fit everyone. Dressy shoes recommended. There are many styles of jewelry, wraps, and clip-on hair to fit everyone.
What food is served at a Tea?
* "Tea" will consist of fruit punch. Confections served are cookies and small cakes, and candies. A fruit/cheese tray will be served, and a chips, crackers, and pretzel tray. Favors are filled with wrapped chocolates and/or small candies.
What do I tell the guests to wear?
* Guests should wear whatever they wish. Dressy shoes are recommended. Party Palace has several Diva-inspired styles of shes. No bare or stocking feet allowed on floors. We recommend tights or dress socks in winter. Many dresses are strapless or spaghetti straps, so plan accordingly concerning undershirts and sports bras which have straps that will show.
My child is allergic to peanuts. What can we do about the menu?
* Special diets can be accommodated on request. Other than special diets, no outside food is to be brought into Party Palace. Please inform me of food allergies at the time of contract signing.
What is an interactive drama?
* An interactive drama allows each guest to participate in a fairy-tale-styled story. There plays for both readers, and non-readers.
What crafts will they do at a Tea?
* Crafts will be quick, easy and useful items girls will enjoy. They will vary . No talent is required to do a Party Palace craft.
What kind of Gift is given to the Guest of Honor?
*Guests of Honor have a variety of jewelry items to choose from including tiaras, necklaces/earrings sets, and bracelets.
Just what is the fashion show?
* Once everyone is in costume, they will walk the room to show off their princess wear. The Honoree will walk first and then enjoy seeing her guests parade on the red carpet from her throne; a definite photo-opportunity. Coronation of the Queen takes place at this time also.
Why a manners lesson during the Tea?
*Everyone can benefit from brushing up on their table manners. In these fast- food times, it is good to work on those skills. Guests are expected to act like ladies with good manners during the entire Tea experience. Thank you notes are discussed at this time.
What can I do to get into Riverviews after the main door is locked at 5:30 PM Friday and 6 PM Saturday and Sunday?
*There is a security device on the wall beside the main door at the entrance to Riverviews. If your party is scheduled after 5:30, you will be given the door code.
What is a "Teddy & Me" Tea?
* Teddy &Me and Dolly & Me Teas allow all participants to bring along their favorite doll or teddy bear. Dolls and Teddies should be no larger than 22". Seating, tea and confections for the special visitors will be provided. Ladies will serve their guests beary good confections! During both of these special teas, ladies will involve their special guests in the fashion show, so the usual drama may not be performed. Dolls and Teddies should come dressed for formal tea. We want our special friends to be the center of attention! They are wonderful guests, as they are always well- behaved and never spill anything!
What is a "Fairy Princess Tea"?
* Fairy Princess Teas include Fairy Queen and Fairy Princess make-overs with dresses, wings, wands, and floral headpieces for all. A Fairy theme Interactive Drama, Fairy Floral Fashion show, and special Floral Fairy table settings and feast. Fairy Queens love to celebrate in their fairy court!
What is a "Palace Idol Party"?
* Palace Idol parties are for girls turning 9 and up. It is a 2.5 hour celebration �American Idol� style. Guest contestants are treated as celebrities for the evening. They receive a Rock Star Make Over, Participate in the Red Carpet Fashion Show, create a Diva craft, choose treasures from our Treasure Box, feast on Pizza and more, and unleash their Rock Star personalities with a star-studded Stage Show complete with their favorite hits, karaoke or lip sync performances, judges, and Awards for all; fun-filled celebration for 8 guests for only $275. Ladies turning the Big 3-0, and up enjoy this party as well! Special pricing for groups of 9 & 10.
